Richard Roundtree (July 9, 1942 - June 12, 2023) was an American actor who portrayed Wallace Boden, Sr. in Chicago Fire.
Biography and career[]
Roundtree was best known for originating the role of John Shaft in the Shaft film franchise. Other roles include Charles Deveaux in Heroes, Talbot in Se7en, and Mr. Shaw in Desperate Housewives. He was also in a 1983 episode of the original Magnum P.I., and played the role of Dr. Daniel Reubens in the NBC soap opera Generations that ran from 1989 to 1991.
