Hailey Nuriyev is a kidnapping, sex trafficking, and attempted murder victim of Stepan Tsarko on FBI.

Biography

Hailey and her sister Brooke were born in Ukraine to a Ukrainian father and an American mother. Their mother abandoned the family and returned to America, where she died. To follow her close behind, Hailey encouraged her sister to answer an online employment ad so they could emigrate. It was really a cover for Tsarko, known as "Snake" by his victims, to lure the sisters and other women and girls into his trafficking ring. The sisters were kidnapped by Tsarko and his henchmen, blindfolded, transported between several basements, and raped for days, which progressed to beating, torture, and branding then with crowns carved into their shoulders with a hot blade. When brutalized more than enough, Tsarko pimped the sisters to paying johns.

Hailey heard Brook was sick, fearing she'd die knowing that Tsarko killed captive victims when they were useless. She begged a john to call the cops, but he got nervous and hung up and Tsarko found out. Tsarko raped Hailey again, kidnapped her, dragged her to where he buried eighteen other women he murdered, and stabbed her around thirty times. He buried her in a freshly dug grave, but she was still alive and dug herself out before fleeing the woods. She made it to a family's home, where the father caught her as she was flailing and tried to calm her down while screaming for someone to get her an ambulance. She was narrowly rescued by paramedics and transported to the hospital for multiple surgeries.

Agents Maggie Bell and Omar Adom Zidan questioned her in between surgeries. Bell reassured her nothing was her fault, and Hailey tearfully told of the horrors the ring made her and Brooke suffer. Before she was taken into the operating room, she begged the team to save her sister. When she could be questioned again, she led the agents to Tsarko's doctor who treated the women and girls, but he was killed by the time they arrived. Thankfully, Tsarko himself was arrested in a sting and gave up the hideout where all the captives were being held. Brooke was located and she was reunited with her sister at the hospital. Hailey didn't feel triumphant, but Bell commended her for fighting for her and Brooke's lives and hope for their best an full recovery.
